Locals cook up their best barbeque to benefit Step Up For Soldiers

By Kim Ratcliff | March 1, 2019 at 10:26 AM EST - Updated March 1 at 10:40 AM WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The 8th annual Step Up For Soldiers backyard barbeque takes place from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. March 2, 2019 at the Lake in Carolina Beach. 15 people have signed up to cook a Boston Butt. They will start cooking Friday night, cook thru the night. Judges will sample the barbeque first and guests will also have a judge to pick their favorite dish. The event includes live music and vendors.
